Tell us about Racine and who is involved in the collective.

Racine is a think tank and foresight collective created in 2024 to bring together experts and leaders in the luxury industry.  We unite a passionate, multidisciplinary team to redefine the possible futures of luxury in a changing world. Our team, including Elisa Niemtzow, Alexia Tronel, Margot Lorphelin, Arnaud Khodjamirian, Jade Gautiez (sustainable business experts), Christine Tilleke (curator), and Fanny Le Bras (Artistic Director & Chef), blends diverse perspectives to explore the future of luxury through a transcultural lens.

What are some key takeaways for the luxury industry from your report ‘What’s Next for Luxury: Cultivating Relevance in a Changing World’ ?

  1. Embody: Use core, visionary, and cardinal values as a compass to navigate disruption and reinforce brand identity.

  2. Imagine: Reimagine desirability by crafting emotional, sensory, and culturally resonant narratives that align with sustainability.

  3. Inspire: Leveraging new ways to influence mindsets and values, not only among luxury clients but also society at large.

What was the inspiration behind your collaboration?

Our collaboration is driven by a multidisciplinary and multicultural approach, weaving artistic, sociological, philosophical, and economic insights. Racine acts as a laboratory for envisioning luxury’s future, moving beyond traditional sustainability frameworks.

What are some of the challenges you had to overcome in the co-creation of this report?

Coordinating the busy schedules of contributors like Cyrille Vigneron (Cartier), Manon Fleury (Chef), Sophie Abriat (Journalist), and others was a hurdle. Their diverse insights enriched our report, demanding seamless collaboration.

What advice do you have for other women who are interested in connecting and collaborating with others?

Connect relentlessly! Collective intelligence fuels innovation and we need different mindsets. By collaborating, we amplify our impact and shape a more resonant future for luxury.
