Feriel is Chief Trade and Industry Officer at De Beers Group, where she has worked for nearly 21 years. She is also the President of the World Diamond Council.
Over the years, Feriel has held pivotal leadership roles, including SVP of Corporate Affairs and Head of Government Relations, where she worked to protect the integrity of diamonds and the diamond supply chain, while safeguarding De Beers’ commercial and ethical commitments.
She is widely respected for forging multi-sector collaborations that mitigate operational and reputational risks, and for her tireless advocacy for transparency, ethics, and responsible sourcing across the industry. Beyond De Beers, Feriel serves on the Board of Directors of the Responsible Jewellery Council and the Jewellers Vigilance Committee, and as General Manager of GemFair, she champions artisanal miners’ access to ethical markets.
