Dr Kerstin is a Human Rights Officer at Volkswagen Group, where she has worked for nearly 8 years.
She is responsible for ensuring compliance with human rights due diligence. Her role involves investigating raw material provenance to ensure safe working conditions, no child labour or other adverse conditions involved in the supply chain. She manages stakeholders from. UNICEF, OHCHR, the European Commission, ILO and UNDP. Dr Kerstin and her team have oversight of 1,200+ Group companies and 90,000+ direct suppliers worldwide. She leads monitoring of risk management implementation as mandated by the German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act (LkSG).
She shares her knowledge and expertise on forums such as German Federal Minstry for Economic Cooperation and Development, Human Rights Officer Conference and DP World’s Europe Sustainability Launch.
Recognition is given to Dr. Kerstin for strengthening supply chain risk due diligence and advancing efforts to protect children’s rights.
